The history of the Sonnleitner in Mauthen
Since approx. 1690
six generations of "Kaulerio" ran a dye works in this house. They were co-initiators of the "Xaveri Novena", market judges and mayors.
1903
When all the inns in Oberörtl were burnt down in the great fire in Mauthen in 1903, Ottilie, the wife of the last master dyer Kaulerio, decided to close the dye works, where the incipient industrialization of the time was making itself felt, and to open an inn. It was run by 2 generations of "Rainer" and another 2 generations of "Sonnleitner".
In 2022
we were able to take over the house as regional hosts and redesign the country house apartments in their current form.

There is a coffee house, a bakery and a butcher’s shop in the immediate vicinity of our house. In addition to a hearty breakfast, you can also buy goods for your daily needs.

There are plenty of free parking spaces for the rooms and apartments right outside the door. Please note the markings!
If you are arriving with more than one vehicle, please use the free public parking lot across the street!
There are two lockable garages at the house, which can be optionally booked for motorcycles etc.

The bike and ski room is located at the entrance area. We ask you to keep the area clean and to roughly clean the sports equipment before setting it up.
The public transport stop for all directions is directly opposite the house. The ski bus to Nassfeld also stops here during the winter season.

There is 24/7 video surveillance in the general areas as well as in the parking lot for your safety and ours. We ask for your understanding!
Residual waste bins and recycling boxes for paper, glass and plastic are available in the rooms. Please use them!
If you are already full before you leave, you can dispose of residual waste in the garbage can on the forecourt or paper, glass and plastic in the bins in the foyer.
Check-out until 11:00 am.
Please leave your apartment key in the key safe provided.

- 2nd installment: 70% one week before arrival

- Children and young people up to the age of 17 are exempt from the local tax.
- Up to 1 month before arrival:We reserve the right to retain a processing and administration fee of € 25.00 for the processing and possible refund of the deposit.
- From 1 month to 1 week before arrival, the cancellation fee is 30% of the travel price.
- If you cancel within the last week before arrival, the cancellation fee is 70% of the tour price.
- Cancellation will only be accepted in writing.
- In all other respects, the AGBH 2006 shall be deemed to have been agreed.
- In order to be covered in the event of illness, we recommend taking out travel insurance.
